Chicago is a great city for shooting architecture. Here are samples of black & white and color shots of Chicago. When I shoot black and white I am always looking for light interacting with the buildings and shadows. When I shoot color I prefer shooting the city on dark, rainey, overcast, foggey days. It adds such a nice texture to the buildings and helps mute the color. Shot with a Contax G2 with a Ziess 45mm lens using Kodak Porta 400asa.
