Color On The Street

What I have been looking for lately are color photos that have a predominate color scheme that is balance and have a hint of color or patterns. The first photo of the alley has the predominate color scheme of grays with subtle color like the shipping pallets to the left. The faded lettering on the side of the Chicago Theatre in front of the compositions that has a faded blue background, white letters and red arrow. Finally a great pattern of the fire escapes in black.

The girl on the bike is surrounded in predominately gray street texture and a slight hint of horizon amber light coming through at the top of the frame. The back of the girls leopard coat, slight greenery in her back basket, aqua sock and blond hair plays with the grey and compliments the amber light.

The third shot of some tourist in River North have a very balanced color scheme. Not only do the ladies seem to compliment each other with their fashion but also the surroundings. Dig the turbans.

The fourth shot of the woman on Milwaukee avenue. What drew me to the photo was the blue background and its reflection. Nice contrast of the woman dressed in black and white briskly walking, wired and texting. Final shot downtown Chicago alley. Nice subtle palette of color. Black dominates with grey and tans. Shot with Contax G2 Zeiss 45mm 2.0 Lens Kodak Porta 400asa.
