The following series tiled Statues and The City was shot using Ilford 100 ASA film, a Nikon F2A with a Nikkor 28mm 2.8 lens and a Leica 5R with a 50 mm Summicron 1.8 lens. The first two exposures the statues and the city where shot with Nikon and the third exposure portions of my paintings was shot with the Leica 5R. I shot only 6 images. I started at the Art institute of Chicago. I then rolled the six images back.
I was riding my bike home on a overcast Chicago fall afternoon I shot the buildings and the lake. As I arrived home I rolled the images back again and transfered the film to the Leica and shot texture close ups of my paintings which are the third and final image. The 100 ASA, the overcast day with the sky light illuminating the statues and the 3 exposures helps to give it a light under exposed gray look. Which I like. Some I added a slight blue tint.
